Aragonez, also known as Tempranillo, is a versatile red grape from Portugal and Spain. Characteristic of this grape are its lively fruitiness and elegant tannins, which result in wines with a balanced character and a refined taste experience. Alfrocheiro Preto is not resistant to mold and is therefore no longer widely planted. It is an early bloomer that also ripens early. The grape gives fruity wines with a high alcohol content, lots of color and a good smell. The wine has soft tannins and an aroma of blackberries and spices. Found throughout Portugal. Most common places are Dão, Douro, Bairrada, Alentejo and Ribatejo. Touriga Nacional, it is not clear where touriga nacional originated, but judging by the variation of the clones in the Dão and Douro regions, the grape has been here for a long time. In the Dão is the village of Touriga, and nearby is another village called Mortágua. In Portugal, the touriga nacional is sometimes called mortágua. In Australia, the grape is known as touriga, and the touriga in California is probably touriga franca. Young touringa nacional has a deep and intense aroma reminiscent of cabernet sauvignon.
