Baldovar Berandia

Bobal by Baldovar from Valencia, Spain. In the glass, it has a ruby red colour with violet reflections. The nose shows elegant aromas of ripe cherries, red berries and Mediterranean vegetation, framed by a very subtle ambience of toasted aromas typical of wood ageing. The taste is full of red fruit and Mediterranean aromas such as thyme and rosemary. His attack is velvety smooth. The midpalate is intense, linear and fresh, followed by a finish on firm, polished tannins. The finish is very persistent on aromas of ripe cherries and thyme. It goes very well with low-temperature braised meat such as wild boar or game in wine, Valencian organ meat dishes such as marinated eel on glazed muzzle and, of course, cheeses made with raw milk.
