Graciano is one of the best grapes in Spain (it is grown in France under the name Morrastel) and is one of the most interesting red grapes in Rioja. It likes cool, clay and chalky soils and a mild, humid climate. It dislikes wind and hot summer sun. Graciano, a spicy, fragrant grape with an intense flavor, gives low yields and is very susceptible to disease. That is why this grape is not very popular with the average winegrower.

Tempranillo betekent ‘vroeg’ en is een niet rechtopstaande wijnstok met grote, ongelijkvormige bladeren en grote trossen met dikke druiven. Zeer waarschijnlijk is het een inheems Spaans druivenras.
