Bodegas Ontanon Rippa Dorii Roble, Tempranilo from Ribera del Douro, Spain. A dark red wine that is refreshed in its full taste and aromas by fresh ripe fruit and smoked aromas.
The wine comes from Ribera Del Duero where Tempranillo grapes ripen under the influence of the Spanish sun. The Atlantic Ocean provides moderate temperatures that give this Altos Roble structure and character. After the fermentation process, it matures for five more months in oak.

Tempranillo betekent ‘vroeg’ en is een niet rechtopstaande wijnstok met grote, ongelijkvormige bladeren en grote trossen met dikke druiven. Zeer waarschijnlijk is het een inheems Spaans druivenras. Zijn oorsprong zou kunnen liggen in de Pyreneeën, waar in de 80-tige jaren nog wilde stokken van de tempranillo werden aangetroffen.
