Bodegas Ontañón Ontañón Crianza, 37.5 cl. Tempranillo and Garnacha from Rioja, Spain. A quality product from the Rioja Baja. It is an intense red wine based on 90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnatcha vieilles vignes. Rich with aromas of ripe fruit, plums and hints of coffee and refined mineral touch. Full and powerful on the palate. Pleasantly mouth-filling.

Wordt veel in de Spaanse wijngebieden planted and is considered a very noble variety. This is partly because it is the most important grape in the quality areas Rioja and Ribera del Duero. Tempranillo produces dark wines with low acidity and alcohol content. Wood aging benefits the wines containing tempranillo and gives them extra softness. Is a good basis for red Rioja wines. Tempranillo is known in Penedés as ull de llebre and in La Mancha and in Valdepeñas as cencibel. Garnatcha, The most planted blue grape in Spain. Excellent for blending, although the best garnacha wines come from Priorato and are usually a monovarietal there. Garnacha is an important component of traditional rioja (usually up to 30 percent). In France, this grape is used almost exclusively as a varietal with other grape varieties. The Garnacha is a true Mediterranean grape that is addicted to the heat. The grape variety continues to follow the sun, regularly changing its name. The vine is resistant to all kinds of diseases. The grape has a thin skin with little pigment. The grape prefers poor and dry soils with many (pebble) stones. Little tannin and sensitive to oxidation, so this is not a wine to keep. The Garnacha wines are characterized by a very fruity, almost sweet taste in which blackberries, cherry, kirsch, coffee, cocoa, figs and some pepper can be discovered. They contain little acid.
