Negroamaro: means ‘black bitter’ because the wine is very dark. It is a fairly old-tasting grape of reasonable quality that is planted in southern Italy, especially in Púglia (Apulia). The structure is firm and the taste can be something of a barnyard with a clear medicinal touch. The grape can be appreciated in a blend with the fragrant, juicy Malvasia Nera. Some of the best red wines from Puglia such as Salice Salentino possess this combination.

Negroamaro is a red grape variety native to southern Italy. It is grown almost exclusively in Apulia and especially in Salento, the peninsula that can be seen as the “heel” of Italy. The grape can produce wines that are very deep in color
