Cederberg David Nieuwoudt Ghost Corner Semillon

Cederberg David Nieuwoudt Ghost Corner Semillon from South Africa. A perfumed white wine with aromas of green figs, white fruits and a touch of nettle. It gets extra depth thanks to a slightly burnt wood touch.
This semillon has matured for 5 months in wooden barrels. With salads and light fish dishes.

Sémillon, for dry but also sweet Bordeaux wines. The ripe grape is rich in sugar and very sensitive to noble rot (pourriture noble). The world’s most beautiful (sweet) wine, Sauternes, is made from this grape. The character of a young Sémillon wine depends on the region. In cool areas: fresh and fragrant (sauvignon blanc esteem) with a fairly full taste. In warm areas: subdued scent of pebble, full and sometimes cumbersome in taste with a low acidity. Characteristic is the mild bitterness in the taste and aftertaste.
