Chateau de Serame Terrasses de Seram IGP Pays d’Oc Rose from Corbieres, France. Grenache noir: 75% Cabernet franc: 25%. A beautiful peachy pink color with a fine nose that reveals subtle hints of red berries. Delicate on the palate, with a crisp, slightly sour aroma that lingers fresh and balanced.

Château Sérame is a historic Languedoc estate whose origins date back to Gallo-Roman times. It is located in an unspoilt natural setting bordered by the river Aude and the Canal du Midi. It lies at the confluence of two appellations: Corbières and Minervois. With the arrival of Aymeric Izard as vineyard manager in 2020, the vineyard has undergone a real qualitative transformation. The 200 hectares of vines have been 100% organic since 2010,

The grape varieties that make up Château Sérame Rosé 20202 are harvested at dawn to take advantage of the lower temperatures and preserve their greatest aromatic potential. Na de directe persing gevolgd door een koude bezinking, vindt er een langzame gisting plaats gedurende 15 tot 18 dagen bij 18°C onder gecontroleerde temperaturen. The wine matures on lees and is stirred regularly.

Cabernet Franc is a fairly productive variety. It is in fact the original cabernet grape. The much more famous Cabernet Sauvignon is a descendant of the Cabernet Franc. It probably comes from Bordeaux where it is one of the classic components of Bordeaux wines. In the 17th century it was taken to the Loire Valley where it was subsequently successfully planted. Cabernet Franc likes calcareous gravel, sand and clay soils and ripens about ten days earlier than Cabernet Sauvignon. It thrives very well in cooler soils. The Grenache grape grows in warm and dry areas, such as southern France, Spain, South America and also California and Australia. This grape is also the most widely cultivated type of grape in the world for producing red . As just mentioned, the grape is called ‘Garnacha’ in Spanish. But you may also know him as ‘Cannonau’, as he is called in Sardinia. This grape is a real holidaymaker, and needs sun and hot pebbles to fully bake and ripen.
