Chateau Pas Du Cerf Diana Rosé, Cuvée from Provence, France. In the glass, it has a typical Provence light colour and has pale pink reflections. Fruity and fresh scent of strawberry and citrus fruits with hints of flowers. Beautiful mineral, lively and fruity taste. A fresh and very pleasant rosé. Chateau Rosé is a blend of mainly Grenache supplemented with Cinsault and Tibouren. Delicious with grilled fish and veal.

The Grenache grape grows in warm and dry areas, such as the South of France, Spain, South America and also California and Australia. This grape is also the most cultivated type of grape in the world for producing red . As already mentioned, the grape is called ‘Garnacha’ in Spanish. But you may also know it as ‘Cannonau’, which is what it is called in Sardinia. This grape is a real holidaymaker, and needs sun and hot stones to fully bake and ripen. The Grenache contains little tannin and is sensitive to oxidation, so it is better to drink it immediately instead of storing it. The grape has a thin skin and is therefore lighter in color compared to other red wine types. The more grapes per bunch, the lighter the color. The high sugar content is typical of this wine and also makes it stronger in alcohol content, but also sweet and firmer. Grenache wines can be recognized by a taste of white pepper, herbs and fruit. In terms of scent, you can smell almost the same ingredients: blackberries, pepper, cherries, berries and a slightly spicy scent.

Cinsault/Cinsaut is a good quality grape variety that feels very much at home in the warmer wine growing areas and is mainly planted in the western part of southern France.

Tibouren: a Provencal blue grape variety of good quality. Mainly found in Provence. This grape variety is vulnerable to coulure, which can cause low yields. Produces a very spicy and characterful dry rosé in which herbs and some fruit dominate.
