Firriato Ribecca MAGNUM

Perircone by Firriato from Sicilly, Italy. A ruby red wine with deep purple hues and extraordinary aromas of cherries, blackcurrants and plums with a touch of ginger, juniper, squid ink and licorice. Its structure is elegant, silky and balanced with its slight acidity. Perricone is rarely used as a monocepage, but Firriato made a stunning one with it. The grape is typically Sicilian and was grown in the Trapani region where, under the influence of the Mediterranean, the heat is somewhat tempered. The grapes develop evenly there, resulting in stable and balanced top wines like this one.
