Genoels Elderen Zilveren Parel

Sparkling Chardonnay from Genoels Elderen in Belgium. Beautiful straw-yellow color with a fine mousse. The nose is complex with aromas of butter, toast and ripe fruit. On the palate, ripe fruit such as apple, pear and yellow plums reappear, assisted by hints of brioche and toast. The finish is fresh and very long. The Silver Pearl will be fully aged in oak barrels. Made according to the Méthode Traditional and bottle aged for 36 months. Ideal as an aperitif, with oysters and hot fish dishes.

Chardonnay, the grape of white Burgundy and Champagne, is grown all over the world. It produces good to very good wines with a full, dry flavor. Chardonnay is a grape variety with a lack of character, which depends on the terroir (soil and climate) and the winemaking method. Chardonnay is very well suited to aging in wooden barrels.
