La Cetto Chenin Blanc

La Cetto Chenin Blanc from Baja California, Mexico. A pale yellow, bright white wine with green tones and aromas of pineapple, guava and honey. It is a pleasant white wine with a fresh and medium-bodied finish. 100% Chenin Blanc. Very tasty as an aperitif or with grilled white meat and poultry.

Chenin Blanc is a high-quality white grape from which stunningly beautiful sweet wines can be made in the Loire, such as Bonnezeaux and Quarts de Chaume. Locally, the grape, like the wine, is called pineau de la loire. The relatively neutral character of the grape and the high acidity provide a fresh impression. The grape is sensitive to noble rot caused by the fungus Botrytis cinerea. Also important in South Africa (known as Steen) and in California.
