La Petite Ferme Wikus Semillon Sauvignon from Franschhoek, South Africa. Blanc A very elegant but firm viognier that stands out with aromas of apricots and floral notes, complemented by a touch of citrus. This wine finds a nice balance between fruitiness and acidity. The grapes for this wine are picked at different stages of ripeness, which makes for a very unique character. The wine matured for three months before bottling and comes from the region east of Stellenbosch. Delicious with grilled vegetables and vegetarian dishes in general. Also highly recommended with asian dishes.

Characteristic is the mild bitterness in the taste and aftertaste.

Sauvignon Blanc has a characteristic perfume of flowers and gooseberries, is spicy but can be both tart (around the upper reaches of the Loire) and plump and round. The wines usually have a high acidity
