Grenache Blanc and Viognier from Limerick From Sonoma County, United States. Pleasant lively nose with notes of citrus and white stone fruit in combination with fresh peach and apricot aromas. The taste is crisp with recurring fruit and white flowers that provide texture and layering in the aftertaste. With dishes with goat cheese, fish dishes, light spicy dishes and white meat.

Grenache Blanc is a fairly boring grape that, like Grenache Noir, oxidizes easily and has a low acid content. Gives a certain softness to a mixed wine and is therefore common throughout the south of France. Grenache Blanc is strongly present in the white Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes du Rhône and to a lesser extent in Côtes du Rhône-Village. Also used in some Rivesaltes Vin Doux Naturel from Roussillon. Called Garnacha blanca in Spain.

Viognier, an extremely vulnerable white grape of very high quality that forms the basis of Château Grillet and Condrieu. This grape is also allowed up to 20% in the red Côte Rôtie. Viognier produces a delicate, softly scented white wine. More and more quality-conscious wine growers are planting Viognier and as a result their white wines usually increase enormously in quality.
