Lothian Chardonnay

Lothian Chardonnay from Elgin, South Africa. Creamy nose with aromas of citrus, pepper, green herbs and a hint of smoke. Open and creamy flavours of apricot, dry bay leaf and an elegant hint of vanilla vine. The wine is both supple and firm in the finish with a lingering fruity aftertaste. Dishes with oily fish, or dishes with chicken and creamy sauce.

Chardonnay, the grape of white Burgundy and Champagne, is planted all over the world. Delivers good to very good wine with a full, dry taste. Chardonnay is a grape that does not have a clear character, which depends on the terroir (soil and climate) and the method of wine making. Chardonnay lends itself very well to maturing in wooden barrels.
