Mas Rodó Montonega

Mas Rodó Montonega from Penedes, Spain. Fresh and balanced white Catalan wine based on 100% Montonega grape. Aromas of citrus fruits and green apples. Nicely balanced finish with very fine acidity. Fruity nose, dry finish.

The Montonega is an indigenous grape that develops spontaneously from Parellada varieties, generating a different phenotype with character. The Montonega is a small, scarce and reddish grape that spontaneously produces about 4500 kg per hectare with which we produce an honest, fresh and special wine. It is a wine where it is not the fruit that stands out, but the aromatic herbs, fennel, nuts and a pronounced minerality and salinity.
