Vermouth by Padró & Co from Catalunya, Spain.In the past, people often used herbs and spices to enhance the flavor of wine, this became the precursor of all vermouth. This thousand-year-old tradition was expanded to include the tangy aromas of citrus around the Mediterranean. For this Vermouth, based on white wine, a combination of aromatic herbs and some citrus fruits were added and together had a maceration (soaking) of several months. Then several more months of barrel aging. The fragrance is very aromatic, intense and particularly pleasant. The taste is slightly sweet and refined with a little bitterness. Sufficient freshness is retained making this a very nice Vermouth with a gourmet touch.
