Ramblita Espumoso, Airen, Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc from La Mancha, Spain. Elegant, fresh and delicate bubbles. A pale yellow-green wine, pure with pronounced citrus and floral aromas and a fresh soft taste.

Alren is a white grape with little quality, but with a lot of volume. The bunches are large and fairly close together. The grape is planted en masse in Spain, especially in the La Mancha wine region. The thick skin and the fairly generous yields make the airén ideal for this region with the extreme drought and heat that prevails there in the summer. Airén naturally produces dry white wines with a high alcohol content (12-14%) and a neutral taste. Using modern vinification methods, oxidation can be prevented as much as possible, resulting in impeccable, but characterless wines. Wines that have nothing to complain about, but not wines to spend a lot of money on. Much of La Mancha’s airén is distilled into brandy. Some of it is mixed with red wine to make light red wine. The verdejo trunk is a plant that easily adapts to infertile and stony soil and tolerates drought well. It produces bunches of small to medium sized grapes, compact and with a very short stem. The grapes are spherical, small to medium in size with medium thick skin, green-yellow in color and with large seeds. The grape is usually harvested at night in the month of September due to the high daytime temperatures, which can reach maximums of 30 degrees Celsius. This prevents the juice from darkening due to oxidation caused by heat.

Sauvignon Blanc also called fumé blanc, is the most important white grape of Bordeaux. Fresh, fruity wines are made along the Loire. In Sauternes, the grape is blended with the sémillon. Sauvignon blanc spread to the rest of the world through migrants in the 18th century. In wine regions with a temperate climate, the grape feels at its best. Sauvignon Blanc, locally called Surin, is one of the oldest grape varieties planted in France. Sauvignon Blanc has a characteristic perfume of flowers and gooseberries, is spicy but can be both astringent (around the upper Loire) and plump and round. The wines usually have high acidity
