St. Andrea Hangacs Egri Bikaver

Bikaver by St.Andrea from Eger, Hungary A rich and compact Bikavér from the Hangács vineyard in Demjén. Kékfrankos, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon were spontaneously fermented in open barrels, then aged for 17 months in used barrels ranging from 220 liters to 1,000 liters. The result is an exciting, very spicy nose, round flavor notes, fantastically fruity. A solid and tight structure, complemented by delicious minerality, an abundance of fruit and spice on the pallet, complemented by subtle hints from the use of oak barrels.
