Torres Grans Murallas – DO Conca De Barbera. Cuvee from Catalunya, Spain. Beautiful wine with a cherry red color that contains dark ochre tones. Smells intense and complex to dried sultana raisins. Taste palette is broad with fruity, velvety tannins, aromatic herbs and resin.
A wide combination of grape varieties. The final product goes into new barrels of the special Tronçais oak and matures for 18 months. A long-lasting wine. Goes with Mediterranean dishes, roasted meats or stews.

Carignan, a blue grape that is widely planted in the South of France, North Africa and California. The grape produces fairly powerful wines that are fruity in their early years. Nowhere does this grape produce more beautiful wine than in the Roussillon. Carignan comes from Spain and is called cariñena there after the city of the same name where the grape originally comes from. The wines of the carignan are generally dark in colour and coarse in character. They contain relatively much tannin and a high acidity. Thanks to modern methods of vinification such as carbonic maceration the wines become fuller, softer and fruitier.

Garnatcha, The most widely planted blue grape in Spain. Excellent for blending, although the best Garnacha wines come from Priorato and are usually monovarietal there. Garnacha is an important component of traditional Rioja (usually up to 30 percent). In France, this grape is used almost exclusively as a cépage with other grape varieties. Garnacha is a true Mediterranean grape that is addicted to the heat. The grape variety always follows the sun, and regularly changes its name in the process. The vine is resistant to all kinds of diseases. The grape has a thin skin with little pigment. The grape prefers poor and dry soils with many (pebble) stones. Little tannin and sensitive to oxidation, so this is not a wine for laying down. Garnacha wines are characterized by a very fruity, almost sweet taste in which blackberries, cherry, kirsch, coffee, cocoa, figs and some pepper can be discovered. They contain little acid.
