Torres Mas La Plana Cabernet Sauvignon from Catalunya, Spain. The wine has a deep, full red color with hints of mahogany. In the exquisite aroma, one finds scents of coffee, licorice, toasted bread and toffee. The palate has an elegant structure and soft tannins, allowing one to fully enjoy the aromatic fullness of the wine as it warms. Its fruity character is complemented by notes of cocoa, truffle and vanilla from its oak-aged finish. The finish is subtle and elegant.

Cabernet Sauvignon is best known in Bordeaux where, together with merlot and cabernet franc, it produces high-class wines. It needs a lot of heat to ripen, otherwise it will become green and juicy with a taste of green pepper. Too much heat makes it soft and jam-like, with a taste of blackcurrants.
