Two Princes Semillon Chardonnay (SC)

Two Princes Semillon Chardonnay (SC) from Riverina, Australia. The blend of ripe Semillon and Chardonnay (wood-aged) gives a fruity palate with especially ripe melon. The chardonnay is full on the palate with a pleasant woody touch.

Sémillon, for dry but also sweet Bordeaux wines. The ripe grape is rich in sugar and very sensitive to noble rot (pourriture noble). The world’s most beautiful (sweet) wine, Sauternes, is made from this grape. The character of a young Sémillon wine depends on the region. In cool areas: fresh and fragrant (sauvignon blanc esteem) with a fairly full taste. In warm areas: subdued scent of pebble, full and sometimes cumbersome in taste with a low acidity. Characteristic is the mild bitterness in the taste and aftertaste.

Chardonnay, the grape of white Burgundy and Champagne, is planted all over the world. Delivers good to very good wine with a full, dry taste. Chardonnay is a grape that does not have a clear character, which depends on the terroir (soil and climate) and the method of wine making. Chardonnay lends itself very well to maturing in wooden barrels.
