Uggiano Chianti Riserva Prestige Black Label

Canaiolo, Sangiovese by Uggiano from Toscane, Italy. Ripe and generous Chianti Riserva, rendered in ruby red with garnet reflections. Wonderful nose of ripe black cherries, wild berries and violets, sublimely complemented by a seductive hint of vanilla and some toasty oak. The wine was aged for up to 22 months in wood, with the first 12 to 14 months in French oak barrels. The wine was then allowed to rest in the bottle for another year. This results in a deliciously full and round wine with the sultry and complex flavors of ripe plums, black currants, cherries, Mediterranean spices and vanilla. With wonderfully melted tannins and an aftertaste that knows no stopping.
