The Syrah grape grows best in a warm and dry area. In addition, the Syrah should not be planted in an area where it is too windy. Due to the thick skin of the Syrah grape, the grape has a lot of tannin in it, to temper this taste it is matured in wood for a long time. The best serving temperature for this wine is somewhat higher than for other red wines, namely 18 degrees Celsius.
