Uggiano Sangiovese Di Toscana IGT

Sangiovese by Uggiano from Toscane, Italy. Beautiful ruby red color with light violet tones. Dusty and persistent bouquet with aromas of cherry and violet. The taste is dry and smooth with fine acidity and balanced tannins in the aftertaste. Delicious with savory starters, roasted meats and stews.

Sangiovese, the most common ancient and very robust, but thinly membranous variety. Originally from Tuscany and from there spread throughout Italy. Sangiovese consisting of two qualitatively very different sub-varieties. The Sangiovese piccolo (the lesser) dominates and is the main variety in Chianti.
