André Goutorbe Carte D’Or from Champagne, France. Chardonee and Pinot Noir that is fresher and firmer than the Brut Tradition. The bubbles are very fine and remain long, green apple with a hint of white peach, in the mouth there are fine acids and the wine finishes with a creamy touch.

Chardonnay, the grape of white Burgundy and Champagne, and is grown all over the world. Produces good to very good wine with a full, dry taste. Chardonnay is a grape that does not have a clear character, that depends on the terroir (soil and climate) and the way of making wine. Chardonnay lends itself very well to maturing in wooden barrels.

Pinot Noir: in oude tekst uit 1659 wordt de druif ook Rotkläffner genoemd. Pinot noir is een nobele blauwe druif, afkomstig uit de Bourgogne waarvan alle grote Bourgogne wijnen worden gemaakt. De druif groeit met name in een koeler klimaat en is zeer afhankelijk van de bodemgesteldheid. Daarom is het is geen gemakkelijk druivenras om te verbouwen. Maar als de omstandigheden ideal zijn kan men zeer complexe, elegante wijnen maken van topniveau. Is ook van belang in de champagnemost. Hij geeft champagne ruggengraat, kracht en volheid. De fameuze pinot noir is in bijna ieder wijnland te vinden. In Duitsland wordt de druif ook spätburgunder genoemd. Blauburgunder in Oostenrijk en Zwitserland.
