Baldovar Rascal (Orange Wine)

Baldovar Rascal, Merseguera from Valencia, Spain. In the glass, this wine has a very bright yellow colour with golden reflections. The nose is very complex, evolving with aromas of peaches, apricots, lavender and pine resin over a gourmand veil of salty and earthy sensations. The palate begins with a velvety and ethereal entry, very open and supported by a very fluid, fresh, tense and voluminous structure. The palate is full of stone fruit on a cascade of elegant bitter notes, sailing over a fine, rounded tannin framework. This wonderful granulometry and ripe material envelope a tense and linear acidity that we manage to polish with its maturation on fine lees of exclusively Merseguera.

Merseguera is a typical Spanish white grape, which is widely cultivated in the Levante region (along the eastern Mediterranean coast of Spain), where the grape can produce pleasant, softly fresh, slightly fruity wines.
