Heredad 26 Mencia from Bierzo, Spain. Cherry red colour with slight violet edge. Open-hearted aromas of red fruit, floral notes such as violets and spices. Mineral background typical of this region. Broad attack with fresh fruit and fine acidity. Nice body with fairly long finish that is very fruity.Delicious with grilled meat, but especially pork and lamb.

Mencía is a grape with a floral, spicy and fruity bouquet that has similarities with Cabernet Franc or may even be the same variety. Especially in the northern wine region of El Bierzo, this grape has a future in wines with a beautiful structure.
