Una Grüner Veltliner from Burgerland, Austria. Beautiful bright light yellow color. Pleasant fresh aromas of green apple, pear and spices. Grüner Veltliner is the grape of Austria and is also called weiβgipfel there. Grüner veltliner is most commonly planted in the area around Wachau, Krems, Langelois, Falkenstein and Retz. It is a grape that produces slightly pungent, pleasant, dry, fresh, fruity and easy to drink wines, but never top quality wines. Austria still has 3 veltliners with dark skin: roter, brauner and frühroter. The first 2 are only planted in small numbers; Frühroter (the skin is more red than black) is planted slightly more often, usually in the Weinvertel. The acidity is lower than that of the grüner veltliner. UNA Harald Lehner founded the “Pannonians Weingärtner Neusiedler See” in 1995. In 2007,he devoted himself completely to “Gaudium Vinum Galos”. High-quality wines with perfect value for money. This oenologist, winemaker and cellar master grows his wines himself. No chemical additives are used in the winery. The Neusiedlersee wine-growing region lies on the eastern shore of the large, shallow steppe lake, Neusiedlersee, and borders the Hungarian border. As the region’s main white grape variety, an abundance of white wines are produced from Pinot blanc, Chardonnay, Welschriesling and aromatic varieties such as Sämling and Muscat Ottonel. The famous Grüner Veltliner is also found here, much fruitier than in the north, but very aromatic with less acidity.
