Ribolla Gialla: an attractive grape from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine region in Italy. Wines made from this grape typically have good acidity, a distinctly full flavor, and a floral, citrusy aroma and taste. Ribolla grows in the hilly landscapes of the Collio and Colli Orientali, but also across the border in Slovenia, where it is called rebula. In Greece, the grape is grown under the name robola and produces the most refreshing, dry white wines. Greek robolla/ribolla wines are often fuller and more powerful, while those from Italy are often refined and crisp.
