Gere Attila Rose. Cuvee from Villany, Hungary. Lush aromas of cherry, mulberry, red currant and a touch of chamomile. On the palate, fine acidity is intertwined with flavors of red berries and citrus. The finish is dynamic with nicely interwoven acids that provide a fresh aftertaste. This wine is a blend of Kékfrankos and Pinot Noir. To preserve the freshness of the wine, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks.

Kékfrankos: the Hungarian name for Austrian Blaufränkisch. Blaufrankisch is a red wine grape that originated in Franconia in present-day Germany, where it means “blue wine” in the region. It originates from Slovenia and, together with Zweigelt, is one of the typical red grape varieties in Austria. It produces light, spicy wines with a slight acidity and goes perfectly with Austro-Hungarian dishes.Blaufränkisch is a dark grape variety used in red wine. Blaufrankisch vines are late-maturing grape varieties planted in warmer locations. Blaufrankisch is the second most important red grape variety in Austria after Zweigelt. The grape mainly grows in a cooler climate and is very dependent on soil conditions. Therefore, it is not an easy grape variety to grow. But if the conditions are ideal, very complex, elegant wines of top quality can be made. Is also important in champagne must. It gives champagne backbone, strength and fullness. The famous Pinot Noir can be found in almost every wine country. In Germany the grape is also called spätburgunder. Blauburgunder in Austria and Switzerland
