Chateau Pas Du Cerf Audace Rosé, Mourvedre and Grenache from Provence, France. A light pink colour with salmon pink reflections and golden nuances. An intense nose with aromatic complexity of exotic fruits. In the mouth, the roundness translates into the strength and charm of the wine. The fresh acidity provides a playful finish. Delicious with Mediterranean cuisine.

Mourvèdre: an aromatic grape, dark in colour and rich in tannin, which produces wines with sufficient power and length. Originally Spanish (also called mataro) but is more widely grown in the south of France, particularly in Provence and Rhône. Also in California and Australia. Mourvèdre is mainly used to give red wines more power, character and content. This gives them more depth and makes them somewhat more classic in style.

The Grenache grape grows in warm and dry areas, such as the South of France, Spain, South America and also California and Australia. This grape is also the most cultivated type of grape in the world for producing red . As already mentioned, the grape is called ‘Garnacha’ in Spanish. But you may also know it as ‘Cannonau’, which is what it is called in Sardinia. This grape is a real holidaymaker, and needs sun and hot stones to fully bake and ripen. The Grenache contains little tannin and is sensitive to oxidation, so it is better to drink it immediately instead of storing it. The grape has a thin skin and is therefore lighter in color compared to other red wine types. The more grapes per bunch, the lighter the color. The high sugar content is typical of this wine and also makes it stronger in alcohol content, but also sweet and firmer. Grenache wines can be recognized by a taste of white pepper, herbs and fruit. In terms of scent, you can smell almost the same ingredients: blackberries, pepper, cherries, berries and a slightly spicy scent.
