Weingut Peter Dolle Riesling Privat from Kamptal, Austria. The grapes are picked from November, after vinification they are aged for 12 months in neutral 1000 liter barrels on their lees. Beautiful nose of ripe peaches, firm minerality, very complex wine with long finish. Riesling is a very noble grape variety that originates in Germany. The grape is still widely planted here. A misunderstanding is that Riesling produces a sweeter wine. Dry Rieslings can be fine, nuanced wines of great class. This grape has also been a classic in French Alsace since the mid-19th century.
